On March 2, Cpl. V. Walker responded to a residence on Canvas Back Road in Callaway, for a report of an assault in progress.
Upon arrival Cpl. Walker found the victim lying on the floor with a stab wound to his upper chest. Cpl. Walker summoned the Emergency Medical Services to respond. The victim reported a light skinned female nicknamed “Dreka” stabbed him and fled next door.
Deputies located Shadreka Kamya Barnes, 19 of Lexington Park, and took her into custody.
Further investigation revealed Barnes and the victim were engaged in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault when Barnes stabbed the victim in the chest.
The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
