At 10:16 p.m. Friday night, the fire and EMS units of the Second District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad Company 39 and the St. Mary’s County Advanced Life Support Unit were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on Flat Iron Road involving a single overturned vehicle.
Safety 6 arrived on the scene at 10:19 p.m. and reported the driver was out of the overturned vehicle.
Lexington Park ambulance 397 arrived on the scene at 2222 and began patient care. With the arrival of ambulance 397, Safety 6 cancelled ambulance 67 while Engine 62 continued en route. The engine arrived on the scene at 2225.
The Lexington Park EMS crew C-spine immobilized the patient for transport to St. Mary’s Hospital.
Engine 62 cleared the scene at 10:32 p.m. and ambulance 397 transported the patient to SMH priority 3 at 10:34 p.m.
