WALDORF, Md. – A fire broke out in a single-family home in the 10000 block of Lyles Place around 8:55 p.m. on April 26, 2024. Initial reports indicated that occupants might still be inside the structure at the time of the fire.
Upon arrival, crews reported visible smoke and fire at the scene. All occupants of the house were quickly accounted for, and no injuries have been reported. Firefighters were able to knock out the fire within 20 minutes and continued to extinguish hot spots in the structure.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental. SMECO was requested at the scene to secure the power.
