Hazmat Incident Of Ammonia Leak at the Capital Clubhouse

UPDATE: At approximately 9:40 a.m., hazmat teams secured the leak. A total of three patients were evaluated on the scene. Crews will be ventilating the building for the next hour or two.

WALDORF, Md. – At approximately 9:00 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to a hazmat incident of a ammonia leak reported in the area of the Capital Clubhouse, 3033 Waldorf Market Place.

Police have alerted citizens to avoid the area of Waldorf Market Pl due to Fire Dept. activity until further notice.

Evacuations are underway, avoid the area and use caution.
