CALIFORNIA, Md. – St. Mary’s County Fire and EMS crews responded Sunday to a three‑vehicle collision with injuries after a passerby reported a rollover crash and an occupant trapped. The incident occurred in the California area, where police arrived first and advised there was no active entrapment upon their assessment.

Responders found three vehicles involved and three patients, including a 38‑year‑old woman complaining of a head injury. Rescue personnel conducted precautionary stabilization while EMS initiated triage.

All patients were evaluated on scene, and the patient in the rolled over vehicle was transported to CalvertHealth Medical Center. The other two patients were listed as no serious injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
