Mario Kaskins
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Oct. 1, 2:50 p.m., Officers were in the area of Newtowne Drive trying to locate a man with open warrants.
They located the wanted man and when they searched him incident to arrest they located a small amount of suspected illegal drugs. The man was standing near a parked vehicle and a police K-9 scan was requested for the vehicle.
Prior to the scan Mario Kaskins, 36, of Annapolis, identified the vehicle as his rental to officers. After a positive K-9 alert approximately 29 grams of suspected crack cocaine was located inside the vehicle as well as a digital scale.
Kaskins was arrested and found to have $933 on his person.
Kaskins was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kaskins posted $20,000 bond and was released.
