Praise in the Park 2014 took place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park in , Great Mills. Spectators deemed the event “incredible.”
For over five years, Reverend Roderick W. McClanahan (Pastor, First Missionary Baptist Church) in conjunction with the Missionary and other FMBC Ministries prayerfully followed in obedience of the Lord with a vision to host “Praise in the Park,” an annual community outreach effort in hopes that a lost soul crying in the wilderness will be saved. It has become an annual event in the month of May.
The day was full of praise dance, gospel singing, inspirational messages and food. This was a free event with nearly 200 people in attendance. Many churches participated including:
- Dominion Apostolic Ministries
- Oasis of Victory Christian Church International
- Cornerstone Presbyterian
- St. Mark AME
- Preceptual Praise and Worship Center
Additionally, Health Connections provided free health screenings. The weather was sunny and radiant. God’s work was being done in an awesome way.
