Washington, DC – Associated Press (AP) reported Monday morning, Nov. 24 that U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is resigning. The AP report identifies its source as senior officials of the Obama Administration, who have indicated President Obama would officially announce Hagel’s resignation sometime Monday. The news service cited information from a “senior defense official” who stated both Obama and Hagel “determined that it was time for new leadership in the Pentagon.”
