Arrests made for assaults, theft, and drugs in St. Mary’s County

St. Mary’s County, MD — Judging by the number of arrests made in St. Mary’s County in the past few days for assault and property damaging, a lot of people were in a really bad mood last week. 

Let’s take a look at the rundown of arrests and summons:

On View Arrests:

Drug Arrest-  On September 5, 2019, detectives from the Vice Narcotics Division executed a search warrant in the 2300 block of Spalding Lane in Leonardtown.  Located in a bedroom at the residence was a homemade CDS smoking device which contained suspected cocaine residue. Brian Christopher Hancock, age 40 of Leonardtown, was determined to be the owner of the recovered property. Hancock was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession-Paraphernalia.  CASE# 47670-19

Assault-  On September 6, 2019, Dep. Burgess responded to the 45000 block of Lord Baltimore Way in Lexington Park, for the reported assault.  Investigation determined Ovidio Torres-Martinez, age 30 of Lexington Park, grabbed the victim by the hair, threw the victim to the ground, and struck the victim in the face. Visible injury was observed to the victim and Torres-Martinez was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 51224-19

Drug/Assault Arrest-  On September 8, 2019, Dep. Beyer responded to the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance.  Investigation determined Sherman Leroy Mackall, age 59 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by punching the victim in the face, causing visible injury.  Mackall was taken into custody and a CDS smoking device containing suspected cocaine was located in Mackall’s front pocket.  Mackall was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree, CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession-Paraphernalia.  CASE# 51511-19

Property Destruction-  On September 8, 2019, Cpl. Seyfried responded to the 21800 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance.  Investigation determined Antoine Keith Mackall, age 25 of Lusby, arrived at the establishment looking for another individual.  When Mackall wasn’t provided with a room number, he began going door to door banging on all doors and causing a disturbance.  At one point, Mackall picked up a trashcan and threw the trashcan into a window, breaking the window. When Mackall was located he provided officers a false name; through the investigation  Mackall’s correct identity was discovered.  Mackall was charged with Fraud-Person Identity to Avoid Prosecution.   CASE# 51537-19
