On November 14, 2012 at 6:30PM the Arts Council will present grant checks to nineteen schools and their art teachers at the annual Arts in Education Grant Awards reception. The reception will be hosted by the Springhill Suites Hotel (75 Sherry Lane, Prince Frederick, Maryland 20768) and will feature live entertainment and light refreshments. Calvert Art teachers will speak about how these grants have impacted students in elementary, middle and high school and the wide variety of arts experiences afforded by the grants. Additionally, November is Springhill Suites Art Month and student art from twenty-three schools will be on display at the Hotel.
The Arts Council of Calvert County is supported by citizen donations, funding from the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County and the Maryland State Arts Council.
