On May 26 at 2:55 a.m., Guillermo Alexander Diaz, 22, of Lusby, was arrested by Trooper Roy of the Maryland State Police for theft under $100 after leaving the Lusby FaStop without paying for merchandise.
Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected crack-cocaine and a baggie of suspected marijuana were located on his person. While being escorting into the Prince Frederick Barrack, Diaz attempted to walk away. Roy grabbed his arm, and Diaz attempted to walk away again. Roy grabbed Diaz’s arm again, and Diaz pushed back towards Roy, striking him with his shoulder.
In addition to the theft charge, Diaz was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
