On April 24, Deputy Kampf responded to a possible assault occurring in a vehicle. The vehicle was heading southbound on Route 235 near Joy Lane. The vehicle was located and stopped.
Investigation revealed Jospeh Eckloff, 27 of Hollywood, was in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Eckloff struck the victim in the chest. The assault was witnessed by another motorist who was traveling along slide of the victim’s vehicle.
Eckloff was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
