On Monday, August 3 at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received from 810 Joy Lee Place in Huntingtown.ย
The caller reported that Frank Odell Johnson, 58 of Washington, D.C., had just assaulted two victims during an argument. Preliminary information relayed indicated that one victim had been struck in the head rendering him unconscious and the other victim had been cut with a knife.ย Immediately after the assaults, the suspect fled behind the residence.ย Johnson was located and arrested by Cpl. Gary Shrawder a short time later without incident.ย
Both victims were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.ย Investigation by Det. Homer R. Rich of the C.I.T. confirmed that Johnson had struck one victim, Tyrone Cousser, Jr., 23 of Huntingtown, in the head with a 3โ long wooden maul handle then subsequently attacked the other victim, Sedrick Leon Carroll, 48 of Huntingtown, lacerating his right forearm with a large folding knife.ย
Johnson was charged by Det. Rich with two counts of second degree assault, 2 counts of reckless endangerment and 2 counts of possession of a deadly weapon.ย He was subsequently placed on a $75,000 bond.
