Jonathan Geyer is a writer passionate about telling the stories of individuals whose voices might otherwise go unheard. With a background in anthropology, he brings a unique perspective to journalism, drawing on his experience conducting ethnographic research, interviewing, and recording narratives. A former St. Mary’s College of Maryland student, Jonathan appreciates the peace and natural beauty of St. Mary’s County, especially the St. Mary’s River. An avid traveler, he has flown distances equivalent to three times the Earth's circumference, pursuing academic research, studying Chinese in Taiwan on a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship, and attending conferences. Jonathan’s favorite local spot is Social in Leonardtown, where he enjoys their seasonal Salem Chai.
