Rico Ordona is a writer passionate about human interest stories that highlight the success of neighbors and the events shaping local communities. Originally from St. Leonard, Calvert County, Rico moved away for college in California before returning in 2020 to reconnect with the area and the friendships he made. With a BA in creative writing and a background in journalism, he’s contributed to his university’s paper as a writer and copy editor. When not writing, Rico enjoys exploring his favorite local spots in Prince Frederick, like Dreamweaver Cafe and EZ Thai, and browsing detective films at the Prince Frederick Library. Despite his laid-back, Californian style, Rico also has an unexpected background in precision marksmanship from his high school NJROTC team.
