On May 21, Deputy George responded to a residence on Valley Court in Lexington Park, for a check the welfare call.
Alusine Kelleh Mansaray, 24 of Bowie, had called and reported a 3-year-old child had been left alone in the residence by the child’s mother. When Deputy George arrived at the residence he knocked several times but no one answered the door. Deputy George contacted a maintenance man and had him unlock the residence.
A 3-year-old male was found alone sleeping in the residence. Further investigation revealed the child had not been left by his mother. Mansaray actually had care and custody of the child and had left the child alone in the residence.
Mansaray was arrested and charged with locking a child, under the age of 8 years old, in a dwelling without proper supervision. Mansaray was also charged with false statement to a police officer.
