Waldorf, MD – On July 22 at 1:41 a.m., officers responded to a bar in the 2300 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of an armed subject.
Upon arrival, multiple witnesses told officers an unknown man was singing – karaoke style – when someone in the audience yelled out the singer was not good, or words to that effect. Apparently, the singer made up his own song. The singer left the bar but returned a short time later. He was not allowed back inside because the bar was getting ready to close. The suspect left and stated he would be back.
A patron, who was in line behind the suspect, noticed the suspect had a gun tucked behind his back and alerted security. Shortly afterwards, the suspect drove by in a green passenger car and shot a few rounds towards the business. No one was injured.
The suspect fled northbound on Old Washington Road. Witnesses said the suspect was driving a green passenger car, possibly a Toyota or Honda and the car may have had New Jersey plates. PFC R. Walls is investigating.
