Gantt jumped over the counter, threw gasoline on two clerks and demanded money, reported Lt. Rick Burris, commander of the St. Mary’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
The clerks complied and Gantt fled with a large amount of money.

Gantt was also wanted by BCI detectives for the Sept. 25 robbery at the same bank. After that robbery Gantt fled the state.
Gantt was charged with first-degree Assault, Theft and 2 counts of Armed Robbery. Additional charges are forthcoming. The stolen money was recovered by detectives. Gantt is currently incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
