At 6:10 a.m. June 18, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to residences in the 2600 block of Meadowsweet Lane and the 11200 block of Carroll Drive in Waldorf and discovered the rear windows of multiple vehicles had been shattered by BBs.
At 1:15 a.m. June 24, officers were patrolling the Wexford, Lynbrook and Springhaven Woods neighborhoods checking for suspicious subjects or activity in response to these reports.
They discovered two suspicious juveniles wearing dark clothing and riding a red bicycle that was spray painted black. Investigation revealed the 14- and 15-year-old Waldorf boys were in possession BBs and carbon dioxide cartridges.
The boys were charged with 12 counts of destruction of property less than $500 and released to the custody of their parents. Officers N. Day and E. Horton investigated.
