At 1:26 p.m. Jan. 22, Bay District Volunteer Firefighters responded to a working house fire at 23860 North Patuxent Beach Rd.
Responders found a single family house with heavy fire showing. Shortly thereafter, Hollywood and Solomon’s Island firefighters arrived to assist.
Crews advanced into the front door with water lines and worked the interior of the house from both sides, while other crews conducted searches and cut holes in the roof to aid in extinguishment. Another crew protected an outside side of the house, due to nearby gas tanks adjacent to the rear of the structure.
The fire was put under control within an hour, and crews stayed on the scene until after 5 p.m. The cause of the Fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s office.
