The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (31-22, 61-62) were not able toย completeย the series sweep Thursday night against the Camden Riversharks (23-30, 57-65) as they were defeated 3-1 in ten innings.ย 

The game was another pitcherโ€™s duel between the Blue Crabs and the Riversharks as both teams had great efforts from starting pitching. For Southern Maryland, Ben Moore made his return to the mound going 7 innings while only allowing 5 hits and 1 run. He also struck out 8 and walked 4. For Camden, Kevin Reese went toe to toe with Moore as he pitched 7 2/3 innings while allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He struck out 7 and walked 1 batter.ย 

The game was knotted at 1-1 going into the tenth inning, with reliever Jim Ed Warden entering his third inning of work. Though effective in his first two innings, Warden got into a jam in the tenth thatย ledย to the go ahead, game winning runs. Reid Gorecki led off with a single which was followed by a walk to Chris Walker. Warden then issued another walk to Brian Burgamy to load the bases. Pedro Feliz then grounded into aย double playย that got the force out at home and at first. With two outs and men on second and third, Eduardo Perez hit a blooper righ
