Daryl Thompson allowed just one hit through seven shutout innings as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs shut out the Sugar Land Skeeters 7-0 at Constellation Field. It’s the second straight matchup between these two sides which has had a shutout.

Thompson (4-5) allowed a hit to the first batter of the game in Ryan Langerhans but that was it over seven shutout innings. The only other batter to reach in seven innings was a hit batsmen in the 3rd. Thompson struck out two in his first win since July 26.

Cyle Hankerd got the scoring started right away in the top of the 1st with an RBI double to take the lead. C.J. Ziegler extended the lead to 4-0 in the 4th with a three-run home run, his 11th of the season.
