On Sept. 22, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Deputy J. Graves stopped a vehicle which Kevin Francis Thompson, 19 of Leonardtown was the front seat passenger.
The owner and operator of the vehicle had committed a traffic violation.
Deputy Graves obtained written permission from the owner to search the vehicle. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted. Deputy Graves located an orange cigar tube between the two front seats. The item could have been reached by the operator or passenger of the vehicle. Inside the cigar tube was a hand rolled cigar containing suspected marijuana.
Investigation revealed the suspected marijuana belonged to Thompson.
Thompson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance – marijuana.
