The body of Michael Satterfield, 48, of Chesapeake City who was last seen around 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, has been found.
Satterfield was planning to kayak in the Elk River near Henderson Point when he was last seen. After Satterfield was reported missing, Natural Resources Police searched the area until 2:30 a.m. Monday, May 1, and resumed the search at first light.
At 11:16 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 4, officers found the body while using kayaks to search the marshy areas south of Elkton on the Elk River. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiners Office in Baltimore for an autopsy.
