Update: Oct. 24 8 a.m.–BODY OF MALE FOUND IN WOODED AREA:
Charles County Sheriff’s Officers, with the help of canine search and rescue teams from Calvert K9 and Search and Rescue Dogs of Maryland, located the body of a male in a wooded area near Cindy Court in Indian Head. Investigators are waiting to confirm the identity of the body, but are looking into the possibility it was that of Steven Coltman, 18, of Indian Head who was reported missing from his house last week. The body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. A gun was found near the decedent. The investigation is ongoing.
Indian Head, MD. Oct.23 — A body has been found in Indian Head, Md. and it is believed to be Steven Coltman, the 18-year-old charged with a home break-in in the Waldorf area.
Coltman, who was charged in the crime along with two other teens, was released from jail on October 11th. He subsequently vanished.
Police alleged that Coltman, 19-year-old Clayton Perry and 18-year-old Japheth Newman were involved in the attempted home invasion.
