Upper Marlboro, MD – Prince George’s County authorities report that a suspicious device that was located Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the courthouse in Upper Marlboro was not explosive. Prince George’s County Fire Department reported the discovery around 12:20 p.m. The fire department’s bomb squad was dispatched to the courthouse. Local authorities evacuated the courthouse, a nearby daycare center and several adjacent buildings while the investigation was conducted.

A Washington, DC television station reported the suspicious device was located outside the court commissioner’s entrance. 

Upper Marlboro, MD – Today at approximately 12:22 p.m. there was a bomb threat at a court house in Upper Marlboro. The building is currently being evacuated. Authorities are instructing motorists to remain clear of the area.

Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office reports closure of a local daycare facility, and children are being picked up at Marlboro Moose Lodge on Main Street in Upper Marlboro.
