On August 17, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Dfc. Carberry was on patrol and observed Chevy Silverado parked on a dirt access road, just off of Colton’s Point Road. The vehicle was parked with its engine running and lights on. The area where the vehicle was parked has a history of controlled dangerous substance violations.
Dfc. Carberry approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Kyle Matthew Hudson, 19 of Avenue. As Dfc. Carberry was speaking to Hudson he could smell an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Dfc. Carberry had Hudson exit the vehicle. As Hudson exited the vehicle, Dfc. Carberry saw a small plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and Dfc. Carberry located a set of brass knuckles.
Hudson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a concealed deadly weapon.
