On June 6 at 4:01 a.m., officers responded to the 7400 block of Shirley Boulevard in Port Tobacco for the report of a burglary in progress.
Investigation revealed the suspect broke a handle off a storm door and tried to pry open the front door. The homeowners heard the noise and blocked the door from being opened until police arrived. Officers located the suspect, Aadel Abdulaziz Said, 25 of La Plata, in the driveway.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary.
