
UPDATE: PRINCE FREDERCK, Md.ย – April 1, 2020 –ย The Child Nutrition Program of Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) was recently awarded a grant through the No Kid Hungry organization that will enable the school system to add a meal distribution site at Windy Hill Middle School. The Windy Hill location will be the fourth meal distribution site that CCPS is utilizing during the statewide school closure resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak.
Beginning Monday, April 6, meal kits will be offered to all children between the ages of 2-18, regardless of where they live or attend school. These kits will be similar to those being provided at the current sites, which are jointly sponsored by Calvert County Public Schools and the Maryland State Department of Education. Meals will be distributed utilizing a grab โn go method to maximize social distancing.
To minimize exposure for families, staff, and volunteers, the Windy Hill Middle School site will operate on the same schedule as the as other locations, currently Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.ย On Mondays, children will be provided with two meal kits.ย On Wednesdays, children will be provided with three meal kits.

Meal service will continue at the Elks Lodge in Prince Frederick, the Chesapeake Ranch Estates clubhouse, and the White Sands clubhouse on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Children will receive multiple meals each day to see them through the week.
All sites remain open to all children, so families may select whichever site is most convenient.
March 30, 2020 – In light of the Governor and Maryland State Department of Educationโs order extending school closures through April 24, the Calvert County Child Nutrition Programโs Grab โn Go meal service will also be extended to help meet the needs of our students.
Starting on Tuesday, March 31, however, please note that our Grab โn Go meal site locations are changing to comply with state and federal guidance. The current meal distribution sites (Calvert High School, Southern Middle School, and Patuxent High School) will be closing after service on Monday.ย On Tuesday, they will be reopening at the following locations:

โข The Chesapeake Ranch Estates Clubhouse site is the closest to Patuxent High School.

- At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Rousby Hall Rd.
- Go 1.2 miles, then turn left onto Clubhouse Dr.
- At the โTโ intersection, turn right.
- Go 0.2 miles and take a slight left, staying on Clubhouse Dr.
- The clubhouse and parking lot are 0.5 miles on your left.
โข The White Sands Clubhouse site is the closest to Southern Middle School.

- Go 1.3 miles, then turn left onto White Sands Dr. (there is a light for left turning traffic).
