During the week of June 27 through July 3 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,762 calls for service throughout the community.
CDS Violation
On June 30 at 1:05 a.m. DFC T. Rickard conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Rousby Hall Road near Md. Rt. 4 in Lusby. Rickard found all five occupants of the vehicle to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He arrested the driver, David Scott Starr, 20, passengers Kahnr Anthony Allegra, 19, Kanyn Salvatore Allegra, 21, Dijon Matinique Matthews, 20, and Doriane Leigh Gedridge, 20, all of Lusby, and charged each of them with possession of marijuana.
Theft from Vehicle
Unknown suspect(s) stole a pink mini 32 GB Ipod valued at $100 and $10 in change from a vehicle parked outside a home on Ropeknot Road in Lusby overnight between June 28 and 29. It is unclear if the vehicle had been locked. DFC J. Livingston is investigating the theft.
CDS Violation
On June 30 shortly after midnight, DFC J. Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Chestnut Drive at Barreda Blvd. in Lusby. Norton subsequently arrested the driver, later identified as Tyler Michael Maihos Wack Goins, 18 of Oxon Hill, and charged him with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a glass jar, and carrying a dangerous weapon, brass knuckles, concealed about his person.
Theft from Vehicle
Someone stole a Garmin GPS and a Samsung digital camera, together valued at $250 from a vehicle parked outside a home on 9th Street in North Beach overnight between June 30 and July 1. The victim is unsure if the vehicle was locked. DFC J. Elliott is investigating.
