CDS Violation: 26-64429
On July 27, 2026, at approximately 6:22 p.m., Deputy Grabill conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Southern Maryland Boulevard near Cox Road in Huntingtown, after recognizing the driver from a previous traffic stop for driving without a valid license. The driver, David Lee Snyder Jr., 46, of Upper Marlboro was confirmed to be operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. During the stop, DFC R. Jones and his partner K9 Bane conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A subsequent probable cause search resulted in the recovery of drug paraphernalia containing suspected cocaine residue and a Venmo card not belonging to anyone in the vehicle. Snyder was arrested and charged with Driving without a Valid License, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia and Stealing Another’s Credit Card.
A passenger inside the vehicle, Kimberly Dahn Wert, 56 of Owings, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction.
CDS Violation: 26-65822
On August 1, 2026, at approximately 4:57 p.m., Sgt. Durner responded to the area of Rousby Hall Road in Lusby for the report of a hit-and-run property damage collision involving an erratic driver. Investigation revealed that Jeanene Brinkley, 63, of Lusby, struck another vehicle’s trailer hitch while attempting to pass on the shoulder of the roadway before leaving the scene. Witnesses reported Brinkley was driving erratically, blocked traffic by backing her vehicle into oncoming traffic, and made threatening and disorderly statements toward other motorists. Upon arrival, deputies observed Brinkley backing her vehicle on Rousby Hall Road while traffic was stopped behind her, creating a hazardous situation. Brinkley was taken into custody. A search incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of a partial tablet believed to be oxycodone/acetaminophen. Brinkley was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with Disorderly Conduct and CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis.
Disorderly Conduct: 26-64590
On July 28 at approximately 2:15 p.m., deputies responded to the 5900 block of Long Beach Drive in St. Leonard for the report of an intoxicated subject walking in the roadway. Deputies located Tina Marie Donaldson, 58 of St. Leonard, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated and became belligerent toward deputies, EMS personnel, and witnesses. Witnesses reported Donaldson was stumbling and falling into the roadway, nearly being struck by passing vehicles. After being evaluated by EMS, Donaldson refused medical treatment and continued to create a public disturbance. Due to her level of intoxication and the danger she posed to herself and motorists, Donaldson was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Intoxicated Public Disturbance, Intoxicated Endangerment, and Failure to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order.
Property Destruction: 26-65553
On July 31, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m., Senior Deputy Burgraff responded to the 1900 block of Hummingbird Drive in Lusby for the report of property destruction. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) shattered the windshield and rear window of a vehicle parked on the property. The estimated value of the damage is $1,000. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft: 26-64935
On July 29, 2026, DFC Deinert responded to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, located at 30 Church St. in Prince Frederick, for the report of a theft. The complainant advised that an Amazon Fire Tablet had been stolen from her room at the Cliff’s Motel in St. Leonard. The estimated value of the stolen property is $200.
Weapons Violation: 26-65982
On August 2, 2026, at approximately 3:27 a.m., Sgt. Robshaw responded to a welfare check at the McDonald’s located at 515 N. Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick. Employees reported that a 19-year-old male was passed out inside a vehicle stopped in the drive-thru lane. Deputies arrived on scene and located the vehicle stationary between the two drive-thru windows. After repeatedly knocking on the windows and shining a flashlight into the driver’s face, the driver awoke and lowered the passenger-side window. The driver was identified as Edgar Rogelio Gomez-Romero, 19, of Prince Frederick. While speaking to Gomez-Romero, deputies observed what appeared to be a handgun in the driver’s side door pocket. A loaded Taurus PT738 handgun was recovered from the vehicle. Gomez-Romero was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where he was charged with Handgun in Vehicle, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, and Possession of a Regulated Firearm by a Person Under 21.
