According to Kim Bourne, the mother of Unique Divine Keemer, the 12-year-old Calvert Middle School student is scheduled to appear on Fox Five Monday at 9:45 a.m.
Unique will sing her song, โDonโt Be a Bullyโ and will be interviewed. Bourne provided The Bay Net with emailed correspondence from the television station to verify the scheduled appearance.
Additionally, Unique will be a cosponsor of an anti-bullying rally Saturday, Sept. 8 at Cove Point Waterpark in Lusby from 2 to 5 p.m. The other event cosponsors are Calvert County Division of Parks and Recreation, and Calvert Collaborative for Children.
โThe purpose of the event is to educate and empower todayโs youth with tools and resources needed to have a successful, bully-free year,โ Unique stated.
The Sept. 8 event includes an hourly โanti-bullying plunge,โ music and performances, and guest speakers will be Kim Ballard, who lost her child to violence.
Unique Keemer has sung her song on several East Coast radio stations and has performed in various venues including New York and North Carolina, as well as Calvert County.
