Prince Frederick, MD โ Calvert Hospice staff and Veteran to Veteran volunteers were pleased to visit veterans in local nursing homes and the Burnett Calvert Hospice House on Monday, November 12. Veterans at Solomons Nursing Center, The Hermitage, Calvert County Nursing Center, and Burnett Calvert Hospice House were presented with a special pin, a handwritten note from local elementary school students, and were offered a salute. Some facilities celebrated with a special ceremony and included our veteran volunteers; others offered an opportunity for volunteers to visit with residents individually.

Calvert Hospice is appreciative of the efforts of our veteran to veteran volunteers. 18 veterans and active duty military members participated in Mondayโs activities, representing all four services. We are honored to provide services and recognition to the veterans in our community.
