On Dec. 21, at 7:27 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Patuxent Road in Lexington Park.
Investigation revealed numerous subjects were involved in a physical fight. Following the altercation Joseph C. Harrod III, 22 of Prince Frederick, struck several people in the face with his fist causing minor injuries to the victims. Harrod then left the area and returned a short time later armed with a knife. Harrod approached several other people brandishing the knife and making threats to stab them. Harrod was located in a nearby home and placed under arrest following a short struggle.
Harrod was charged with six counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and one count of resisting arrest. Harrod was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
