CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – On Jan. 31, Deputy Trigg conducted a traffic stop in the area of Old Solomons Island Road and East Chesapeake Beach Road in Owings.

Deputy Trigg made contact with the driver and passengers when he noticed the ignition of the vehicle had been tampered with. Deputy Trigg requested a CDS canine who scanned the car and gave a positive alert.  Deputy Jacobs and his canine partner located a hypodermic needle syringe and a metal spoon under Jennifer Marie Modlin’s, 41, seat. Modlin was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was searched a second time and additional CDS was located.
