Calvert County

Calvert County Public Schools Closed (Code Yellow for 12-Month Employees)
Schools closed due to inclement weather for all students and 10 and 11-month employees.
All emergency personnel report as usual.
All other 12-month employees report up to 2 hours late (Code Yellow).
Liberal leave is in effect. Employees must notify their immediate supervisor.
Reminder to staff and parents when schools are closed all evening activities are cancelled.

St. Mary’s County

All St. Mary’s County Public Schools, including FULL day Head Start, will have a delayed opening of two hours for Monday, March 2, 2015. A.M. Pre-Kindergarten and A.M. Head Start students will not have school. However, there will be classes for P.M. Pre-Kindergarten and P.M. Head Start students. Road conditions will be reassessed before 7 AM, so the status of schools may change.

The St. Mary’s County District Court will open at 11 a.m. with court sessions to begin at 11:30 a.m.

 All St. Mary’s County Administrative Offices will open at 10 a.m.
 All Recreation and Parks Before Care programs operating in the Public Schools will be delayed two hours (subject to change if schools according to schools status).
 Recreation and Parks facilities, including the Leonard Hall, Margaret Brent, Carver and Hollywood Recreation Centers, Chancellor’s Run, Gymnastics Center and Great Mills Swimming Pool, Wicomico Shores Golf Course and Riverview Restaurant, and museums will open at 10 a.m.
Non-Public School transportation will operate on a two hour delay (subject to change)
STS Transit will begin operations at noon
All three Senior Activity Centers (Garvey, Loffler and Northern) will open at 10 a.m. Meals will be available at the centers and home delivered at well.
All St. Mary’s County Library locations (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown and Lexington Park) will open at 11 a.m.
 St. Mary’s County Circuit Courthouse will open at 11 a.m. Court sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m.
All College of Southern Maryland campuses will open at 11:30 a.m.

NAS Patuxent River 

NAS Patuxent River is open on a 2-hour delayed arrival schedule for Monday, March 2. Admin leave will be granted for the hours before the set delayed arrival. Critical employees must report to work as previously scheduled. All other employees may take unscheduled leave, telework or leave without pay (LWOP) for the entire day. Employees choosing not to use unscheduled annual leave, telework, or LWOP for the entire workday should report 2 hours later than 7 a.m., or 2 hours later than their regular arrival time, if their regular arrival time is after 7 a.m. Notify your supervisor of your intentions as soon as possible.
Additional assessment on actual road conditions will take place early Monday morning with an update around 7 a.m. March 2.

Charles County

Due to inclement weather, all Charles County public schools will open two-hours late on Monday, March 2, 2015. There is a code two, which is a two-hour delay, for staff who follow the code system. The morning prekindergarten program is canceled for March 2.

Charles County Government will open on time today, Monday, March 2, with the liberal leave policy in effect for all non-essential employees.  Essential personnel and employees required to maintain operations during inclement weather are to report to work as scheduled.
