CALVERT COUNTY, MD– Anyone with a love of cars or looking for a family function to benefit a local dance studio was out at the Street of Dreams Car Show, hosted at the Calvert County Fair Grounds May 15.
All proceeds raised during the event went to the Dreams Studio of Dance in Mechanicsville. Tara DeMarr, owner and director, was unavailable for comment.ย
Awards were given to vehicles that were best in show, first and second runner up. Other awarded categories include Best in Paint, Best Interior, Most Radical Motor, Rattiest Motor, Ownerโs Choice, and Peopleโs Choice.
The first 300 vehicles received a dash plate, and the first 100 registered received an event tee shirt. Door Prizes, 50/50 raffles, and a swap meet were also hosted at the event.
While browsing the variety of vintage, hotrod, and custom vehicles, event goers had the opportunity to listen to live performances by Phillip Parsons and Stickey Wicket, as well as DJ music.
There was also a DJ, two bounce play areas and games for the younger fans. Grilled food, cold drinks, and other merchandise at the event were provided by local vendors.
A Petting Zoo filled with creatures such as ferrets, rabbits, lizards, and snakes was also there for the more brave fans to observe and hold the small creatures. Snow White came down for a brief visit to meet and greet with event goers.
