CHARLES COUNTY, Md. – There is a one-hour delay for Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) staff today, Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022. Virtual instruction for students begins today but will start three hours late. When CCPS announced that students would be virtual this week, the Monday (Jan. 3) schedule included a two-hour delayed start time for schools to allow staff time to schedule virtual meetings and address technology needs for families.

For today, virtual instruction will start three hours late. This means that live classes for your child will not begin until three hours after the scheduled opening time for your child’s particular school. For example, if your child’s normal school schedule starts at 9:15 a.m. virtual instruction would begin at 12:15 p.m. Many schools provided virtual class schedules to families last week. Please check your child’s StudentVUE account for any scheduled classes for today.

CCPS understands there are many families without power and technology access and encourages families to have their child connect to instruction when they have access. Due to these factors, attendance flexibility will be provided.
