A portion of Chancellor’s Run Road was closed this evening shortly after 5 p.m.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office decided to close the road because of damage resulting from the afternoon storm. High water had caused extensive debris to cover the highway near the bridge and an active construction site.
