As I’m sure most of you already know, Calvert CrossFit and CrossFit Lakas is hosting a charity CrossFit Competition for Nolan Scully on February 12 – 8:00a.m. Nolan Scully was 3 years old when diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer, last Nov 2015. He has been through numerous of surgeries and the most recent in December 2016. Nolan loves the fire department as his dad is a firefighter and loves the police. His dream is to be a police officer when he gets older. Due to Nolan’s illness we have decided to bump this event up to February. For further information please read all about Nolan at https://www.facebook.com/nolanscully/
This event is shaping up to be a lot of fun and as spots fill up we are really looking for more teams to sign up out of our local area. We are looking forward to this event building a stronger CrossFit community in the tri-county area but most importantly raise money for Nolan Scully, and I wanted to reach out to you for just that reason.
While we want to see the fittest at the scaled and RX level come out and show off their fitness we don’t want to leave any athletes out of the fun. The work out will be posted via the Facebook Event Page
The price for all teams of will be $200($50 per athlete and they will receive a Nolan Strong T-shirt). We have a MMFF division and a team of 4 division.
Teams can contact us directly at https://calvert-crossfit.triib.com/events/nolanstrong-crossfit-team-competition
Please stress to athletes that this is about a young boy who is battling cancer and is fighting for his life every day.
