The Charles County Commissioners and the Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management yesterday announced that Bill 2006-13 was implemented on December 14.
The Cottage Industry Program gives property owners with parcels of five acres or more in the agricultural and rural zones the opportunity to establish a business with goods and services that may not be permitted under a standard home occupation permit. Cottage Industries will be permitted in the Agricultural Conservation (AC) and Rural Conservation (RC) zones, but would require a Special Exception in the Rural Residential zones.
