The offices of Charles County Government and the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Hughesville will be closed on Monday, October 10, in observance of the Columbus Day holiday.
The holiday will not affect curbside yard waste or blue bin recycling collection schedules. The Charles County landfill on Billingsley Road and recycling centers will be open for normal operating hours. The Crain Memorial Welcome Center located at 12480 Crain Highway in Newburg will be open for normal operating hours, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Call 301-259-2500 to contact the Welcome Center.
