BURGLARY: On May 11, officers responded to a gas station in the 11000 block of Crain Highway in Glasva for the report of a burglary. Investigation showed someone broke into the building and stole cigarettes. Pfc. T. McKimmie is investigating.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: On May 10 at 11:21 a.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Marbury Run Drive in Marbury for the report of a burglary. Investigation showed unknown suspect(s) stole tools and other items from a shed. Officer A. Singh is investigating.
SUSPECTS IN CITIZEN ROBBERY CHARGED: On May 5 at 7 p.m., detectives arrested Ja’Shon McKay, 20, of La Plata, in connection with a citizen robbery that occurred on April 19 at 3:03 a.m. in the parking lot of a gas station in the 8100 block of Marshall Corner Road in White Plains. On that day, two males assaulted a woman and stole money from her purse. One of the suspects, Francis Diamonte Thompson, 19, of Nanjemoy, was arrested on the scene. McKay was later identified as a suspect and subsequently arrested. Both suspects were charged with robbery and first-degree assault. Det. J. Feldman is investigating.
ROBBERY / CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD: Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in a commercial armed robbery. On May 4 at 6:08 p.m., officers responded to Modell’s Sporting Goods in the 3000 block of Festival Way in Waldorf for the report of a theft in progress. Investigation showed three females and a male entered the store carrying large handbags and a backpack. Upon entering, the suspects quickly grabbed large quantities of clothing and stuffed them into their bags.
An employee observed the suspects and called 911. The suspects sprayed the employee with pepper spray before fleeing to a tan-colored car in the parking lot.
