
CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — Emergency crews responded Sunday morning to a dirt bike crash in Charlotte Hall that initially prompted a rescue response for reportedly inaccessible terrain.
According to dispatch information, the incident was reported about 11:20 a.m. Aug. 23 in the 11100 block of Kingston Place.
Dispatch notes indicated an 18-year-old man was involved in a dirt bike crash and complained of a hip injury. Because of the location of the incident, crews initially requested a utility terrain vehicle to assist with reaching the patient.
Shortly after responders arrived, personnel reported the patient was up and walking around. Several responding units were then placed back in service.
The 18-year-old was transported by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center with a Priority 3 transport status, according to dispatch information.
The circumstances leading up to the crash were not immediately available.
