Annapolis, MD — The 2019 commercial striped bass common pool hook and line fishery opens on Tuesday, September 3, one hour before sunrise.
There is a catch limit of 250 lbs per permittee/week and 500 lbs per vessel/day.
The common pool fishery will close on Wednesday, September 4, one hour before sunset.
This rule affects commercial harvesters permitted to participate in the striped bass common pool hook and line fishery in the Chesapeake Bay.
The rule is necessary to ensure Maryland’s compliance with the Atlantic State Marine Fisheries Commission Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass.
