UPDATE:
Planning Commission Meeting Canceled
Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the Charles County Planning Commission meeting scheduled for tonight, Monday, Jan. 26, has been canceled. The next regular meeting of the Planning Commission is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m., in the Commissioners’ meeting room at the Charles County Government Building (200 Baltimore Street, La Plata). Agenda items scheduled for tonight’s meeting will be heard at the Feb. 9 meeting.
The Charles County Department of Community Services has announced the following afternoon and evening activities are canceled for Monday, Jan. 26, beginning at 3 p.m.
The specific closures and canceled programs are:
- Lackey and North Point pools
- School-based Community Centers
- Elite Gymnastics programs and activities
- Port Tobacco Recreation Center programs and activities
- All sports practices and games are canceled
- Nanjemoy Community Center will close at 4:30 p.m. today
The Campnastics program will continue to operate today as scheduled, ending at 6 p.m.
