Waldorf, MD โ Emergency responders were dispatched, last night, to Berry Road near Sun Valley Drive at approximately 7:21 PM after a passerby reported a car overturned on its side in the woods. Initial reports indicated the vehicle was located eastbound between Mark Drive and Streamview.
Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that one individual, a 21-year-old male, was trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency crews upgraded the situation to an extrication response, deploying specialized equipment to free the trapped driver. The driver, conscious and alert, signaled a thumbs-up to rescuers during the operation.
The driver was successfully extricated without significant injuries and declined further medical transport after assessment on the scene.
Hilton Myers Towing assisted in recovering the vehicle. The State Highway Administration was notified to address potential hazards in the area.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution and remain vigilant while navigating local roads.
