Two people were arrested and charged with burglary and drug possession after the owner of the Cliff’s Motel in St. Leonard advised DFC Paul Wood that the two had entered one of the hotel rooms using a key they had previously been required to turn in at the desk but had not.
They were also found to be in possession of suspected drugs.
On Feb. 27 at 10:21 p.m., DFC Wood arrested Derrick Earl Rice, 22 of St. Leonard, and charged him with burglary, possession of marijuana and theft of keys. Also arrested was Kristique E. Hutchins, 21 of Lusby, who was charged with burglary and possession of marijuana.
