On April 3 at approximately 11:37 p.m. members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team, responded to Bowie Shop Road, in the area of Lowery Road in Huntingtown for a report of a serious motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
The following was determined during a preliminary investigation: A blue 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Flint Randal Duffey, 43 year old male, resident of Huntingtown, was traveling west bound on Bowie Shop Road approaching Lowery Road. The motorcycle was also occupied by a rear passenger, Tracy Anne Duffey, 39, also a resident of Huntingtown. For reasons undetermined at this time the motorcycle entered the west bound shoulder of Bowie Shop Road. Duffey steered to the left and applied brakes in order to avoid leaving the roadway. Duffey lost control of his motorcycle and the motorcycle began to skid on its side. Both the operator and the passenger were subsequently ejected. The motorcycle came to a final rest once it collided with the east bound guardrail.
Blood test results to determine if alcohol was a factor are pending.
Duffey and his wife, who was the rear passenger, sustained various injuries during the collision and were transported to the Prince George’s Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police Troopers 2 and 7. At this time both the operator and the passenger are listed in stable condition.
