UPDATE

Chesapeake Beach, MD – Shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, the members of the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department (Company 1) were alerted for a house fire in the area of Easy Street. Crews arrived to find a multi-story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing.

According to Company 1 officials, a “disoriented occupant” was rescued from the house by responders. The occupant was transported to Shock Trauma by Anne Arundel Medic 42 for medical conditions related to the fire incident.

Firefighters were able to quickly bring the large fire under control.  The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an investigation and a report is pending.

Approximately 70 firefighters operated on scene for several hours.

Owings, MD – At approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday morning several crews from area fire companies were dispatched to a house fire in the 9100 block of Easy Street. Crews arriving at the scene from the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department (Company 1) reported the structure was fully involved.  The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department reported approximately 46 personnel were at the scene at around 2 a.m. working to control the blaze. 

At this time, reports of possible injuries are not available.
